You couldn't get much more secluded and private than pretty Nea Dhimmata if you tried. Clinging to the shores of Chrysochou Bay, this tranquil seaside town is just the ticket to really get away from it all and completely unwind.
Quiet, low-key and traditionally Cypriot, it sits right on a sweeping beach so you can spend many a lazy day stretching out in laid-back bliss, doing nothing more strenuous than applying the occasional dollop of sun cream. If you fancy being a bit more active, you'll find plenty to keep you on your toes.
Do as the locals do and stroll around the village, stopping off to poke your head into shop doorways or linger over a cup of coffee. Snake your way along the coastline, hopping from cove to cove or hike up the gentle hills and enjoy a picnic under the shade of fragrant pine trees. Nearby, you can have a go at golf, hire a bike or hit the waves waterskiing or windsurfing.
The main town of Polis is just along the coast with a variety of restaurants, shops and a colourful daily market in the town square or the fishing village of Latchi is just down the road, where you can jump aboard a boat trip or relax at one of the fish tavernas. Whatever you get carried away doing,Nea Dhimmata- adeliciously unspoilt hideaway - can't fail to impress.
